this controller (pro 2) is miles better than the new 8bitdo ultimate Xbox controller and other 3rd party and 1st party controllers in many ways. its easy on my hands and doesn't hurt them, it has a great snes dpad and left and right bumpers. and i highly recommend. thanks/kudos 8bitdo. please make a new iteration of this controller or some new colors in the future.

I play a lot of 2D and 3D fighting games which warrant having a good D-Pad for certain motions. For a long time the PlayStation controllers were the only controller good enough for me.
I've used PS controllers on my PC forever but got tired of the random disconnects and dropout while gaming.
I wanted a controller that was hardwire for I figured I'd take a chance and thry the 8BitDO Pro 2 and I can say that I now rate it over the PS4 controller without a doubt. The D-Pad works exceptionally good for both 2D and 3D fighting games and the vibration function is good too. Also, no random disconnects. The controller is a good size and the buttons are great.
My other reason for choosing this controller is so that I could have something that has the same layout as a PS4 controller rather than an Xbox controller. I would definitely recomment it.

I really like 8 bit philosophy. They are not trying to reinvent the wheel. This controller is simply the best in its form factor and price range. Its a symmetrical analog stick design which can feel a bit weird for a long-standing Xbox player but muscle memory is a funny thing, it adapts.

I had been wanting to get a wired controller for my PC (using Windows 11, which it works just fine with) and was originally thinking of maybe a 360 or One controller, but as soon as I saw this officially approved one from 8BitDo with the PlayStation-style button layout, I knew it was for me. Plus, I can plug this in to my Series X and use it for Tony Hawk 1+2, which I'd rather play with a PlayStation-style layout anyway.

Quality is excellent, just as high as any other Xbox controller. Feels pretty good too, somewhat similar to a Wii or WiiU Pro controller. The only slight negative for me are the buttons on the back, which I'll probably never use, but they're not really intrusive, so no big deal, really. I'm sure this will be a really nice feature for some people, though.

Overall, a very versatile controller and I'm really happy with this purchase.

These are great high quality controllers with super long sturdy wires, well made and very comfortable to hold for extended times, i always buy them to play pc games; not exactly super demanding ones but they still do just fine. The only downside to them is the analog sticks, they start drifting after a few months of use, the problem solely stims from pressing them which is unavoidable, sometimes we just have to press them to make some game functions work. The main buttons start out a little stiff which is understandable but by the time you break them in and they start to feel smooth it's time for the analog sticks to start breaking and time to buy another controller, if this poses a problem for you then keep looking for another controller, for me this is the only wired controller I'm comfortable using with pc games as i really don't like where the d-pad is in most xbox controllers and I'm not a fan of how big or how expensive the ps5 controllers are. This controller is a wonderful balance between ps and xbox controllers and works great! just a little bit of improvement on the analog sticks and it will be the perfect controller for all your gaming needs. So far i have 3 of them and 2 wireless ones for my laptop and switch! Love them!
