I attached this 75’soaker hose to the 25’ soaker hose I already had, and now I have 100’ of soaker hose running part way around my back yard. To use a soaker it is only necessary to give the faucet about a 1/4 turn . The end of the hose is blocked so that water will seep out the sides. For fairly even watering it is good to have the hose be as level as possible because water will run to and concentrate in any low spots .

I have a splitter on the faucet and the lightweight stainless steel hose I use to hand water is on one side of the splitter, and a conventional vinyl hose is on the other side ,attached to the soaker. I am hesitant to attach a soaker to the steel hose because the steel hoses aren’t supposed to be left pressurized .( I really don’t know if it would matter ). Anyway all I need to do to to hand water or soak is to switch the splitter .

The decades-long drought and increasing heat here in the southwest has changed the way we water our yard. We moved into this house in the 90’s, and at first we used the timed sprinkler system that was already here. It wasn’t long before drought conditions caused sprinklers to be temporarily banned. We turned it off and started to water by hand with a hose , and somehow never turned the sprinklers on again. There are probably between 20 and 30 trees in our yard and after several years of hand watering some of the trees started dying . We called in an arborist who said he'd been seeing a lot of this, and suggested deep watering. I started using a soaker hose to deeply water the trees . I’ve been moving a 25’ soaker hose around the yard for the past few years . My plan now is to leave the 75’ hose in place and occasionally attach the shorter hose to it to water the trees on the east side of the yard. The shorter hose is attached to a 75’ conventional hose and I can continue to move that around to get the rest of the trees. I guess I am using it like drip irrigation.
While an actual drip irrigation system might make sense, my husband has spent so much time over at his parents' house repairing their drip irrigation system that he really doesn't want one.

This hose has worked for me just as I expected it to. The fittings are good and easy to work with,
and the hose lays pretty flat. All in all a good hose that I expect will last for years, just as my shorter hose has lasted.

4.0 out of 5 stars 40 PSI - You will need a pressure reducer if your water pressure is higher

The media could not be loaded.
Its maximum pressure is 40 PSI so if you have a higher PSI like me at 60, you will need to purchase a pressure reducer. I did not and it blew a hole.

I used this hose for a run down a 100 foot long driveway. We’re in a very dry location so conserving water is important. A soaker hose is a really good way to keep water usage down without letting it evaporate. This one is good quality with enough perforation to keep the immediate area around it wet, even at the end of the 100 foot run. It’s been left out on the yard for a couple of months in hot dry weather, and there are no signs of cracking or brittleness, so I think it will last a while even sitting out in the weather.

Overall a good choice for a soaker hose that will last a while.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for those long runs

I have always been a little short on the runs down the sides of the house and across the back yard. Well this one takes the cake as it runs to where I needed it the most. The quality and workmanship that when into making this it far above the quality of other soaker hoses I have had in the past. This one will drip the same amount of water through out the whole hose so that you get an even soak from one end to the other. If you are looking to get a new hose then look no further than here.
