As I'm planning to replace my laptop in the next month or so, I'm not permanently attaching this kit yet. But I checked it out and am looking forward to being able to use it with my new machine soon. In the mean time, the charger and the light are both viable on their own, which is cool.
This kit consists of the Core, which attaches to the back of your laptop screen and holds your phone or light as needed. The weird roll of wire included there is to remove magnets, which is interesting but had me really confused until I looked at the docs.
There's a wireless phone charger that can clip onto the Core, doubling as a phone mount so you can either use your phone as a second screen or a second camera/mic with Continuity on Mac or the like.
There's a self-contained battery-powered LED light as well, which can be used with the EDGE Pro Core as well as as a standalone device. With two of the cores you can mount a tablet, assuming your laptop can handle it.
I usually don't read the reviews before writing one, but I wanted to see how others were using it. I may end up installing the adhesive part of the Core on a laptop shell/case instead of directly on the laptop, based on some feedback there. I can say that while this is my first accessory of this sort from Rolling Square, I have used and loved their 4-in-1/6-in-1 type cables. They aren't attached semi-permanently to my laptop though, so we'll see how this works out with the new machine.
