The LS50 meta I have is a 100W per channel 85db speaker, I used to have a Kanto stand with it, they were very sturdy, sounds nice, but because of my desk setup, I have to put them away from me, plus it gets in the way of my cleaning robot, so I want to try a desk clamp to see if I can get away with a table mounting solution.
The product itself have no fault what so ever, it's well built, good quality and very sturdy.
However, due to lack of mounting (like screw on) ability for the speaker I have, although my speakers stand very neatly on the metal plate, but when I turn volume to 70-80%, you can basically see the speaker starts to bounce around and it sounds horrible.
If I'm handy enough, I can try drill a hole on the plate to mount the speaker. That should fix the problem.
However, let's be fair, I don't really use the speaker at it's max capacity all the time.
so if you just enjoy a quiet, peaceful piece of music, it is good enough. But if you have a powerful speaker and listen to something that is really loud. You can't really use the desk clamp...may be it's a common sense but I thought to try it myself anyways.
Conclusion: Really good desk clamp, would recommend, but it needs to have mounting capabilities for relatively powerful speakers (may be sell a optional brand/model specific plate?)
Not suitable for people who goes really loud, but if you not that kind of guy, this clamp should have no problem at all.
